Samsonite (01910) 9-month profit up 23% to US$140m

Samsonite (01910) said its profit attributable to the equity holders for the three  months ended 30 September 2017 rose 78.4% year-on-year to US$56.59 million.   Basic and diluted earnings per share were US$0.04 and US$0.039.   Net sales amounted to US$916 million, an increase of 19.6% from a year earlier. Adjusted EBITDA grew 18.7% year-on-year to US$160 million.   For the nine months ended 30 September 2017, Samsonite's profit attributable to the equity holders rose 22.6% year-on-year to US$139.96 million. Basic and diluted earnings per share were US$0.099 and US$0.098. Net sales grew 26.7% year-on-year to US$2,502 million. Adjusted EBITDA picked up 23.5% to US$402 million.
