The index inched up 4 pts or 0.02% to finish the morning trade at 23,020, with half-day volatility of only 72 pts.  Hang Seng China Enterprises Index retreated 27 pts or 0.3% to 9,570. Half-day market turnover amounted to $32.538 billion. HSI Rises 186 pts; CN Airlines under Pressure On the futures settlement day, Hang Seng Index opened higher 123 pts and once peaked at 23,016. The benchmark index gained 186 pts or 0.8% to 23,007 at morning's close. Hang Seng China Enterprises Index added 84 pts or 0.9% to 9,582. Half-day market turnover amounted to $28.577 billion. Blue chips were broadly on a rise. HSI Falls 79 pts; Casinos, Chinese Insurers Retreat Dow Jones Industrial Average Index hit a soft spot last Friday (26 August) on accelerating cases for U.S interest rate hike. Hang Seng Index slightly opened down 5 pts and slid up to 146 pts to bottom at 22,762. The benchmark index retreated 79 pts or 0.4% to finish at 22,829.
