Therefore, Hang Seng Index opened down 54 pts this morning and once hit the lowest at 27,520, down 197 pts. The index closed at 27,630 at midday, down 87 pts or 0.32%. Hang Seng Chinese Enterprises Index fell 146 pts or 1.03% to 14,036. The market turnover amounted to $78.147 billion.
