CHINA UNICOM Annual Net Profit Down 12.38% to RMB10.562B; Final Div. RMB0.17 CHINA UNICOM (00762.HK)    -0.080 (-0.867%)     Short selling $70.38M; Ratio 35.673%    announced the annual results for year ended December 2015. Net profit fell 12.38% yearly to RMB10.562 billion. EPS equaled RMB0.44; a final dividend of RMB0.17 was declared. Meanwhile, the turnover fell 2.68% yearly to RMB277.049 billion. Of which, service income was RMB235.28 billion, down 3.9% yearly. EBITDA was RMB87.5 billion, down 5.7% yearly.

HSI Falls 31 pts; Oil Stocks Soften The market is taking a wait-and-see attitude to the U.S. Fed meeting results. The central parity of RMB retreated 93 pts today. Hong Kong market receded after early gains. Hang Seng Index peaked at 20,383 but retreated before the midday. It hit the bottom at 20,168 and last traded at 20,257, down 31 pts or 0.15%. Hang Seng China Enterprises Index dropped 34 pts or 0.4% to 8,571. The market turnover amounted to $58.66 billion. Two Sessions came to a close. The Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said the central government would strive to launch Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect this year. Shanghai and Shenzhen markets traded mixed.
