China East Air (00670) passengers carried up 7.5% in October

China Eastern Airlines (00670) said it carried  about 9.63 million passengers in October, an increase of 7.5% from a year earlier.   For the first ten months of 2017, the accumulated number of passengers carried amounted to about 92.2 million, up 8.2% year-on-year.   Passenger transportation capacity (measured by available seat-kilometres) of China  Eastern Airlines in October grew 10.1% year-on-year, passenger traffic (measured by revenue passenger-kilometres) increased by 8.2% year-on-year, and passenger load factor decreased by 1.4 percentage points to 80.06%.   Freight transportation capacity (measured by available freight tonne-kilometres) in October rose 10.5% year-on-year. Freight traffic volume (measured by revenue freight  tonne-kilometres) increased by 5.6% year-on-year, while freight load factor decreased by  1.73 percentage points to 37.83%.
