After the launch of the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect, Hang Seng Index dropped for three consecutive days. It eventually closed near the day-low at 23,373, down 155 pts or 0.7%. Hang Seng China Enterprises Index fell 45 pts or 0.44% to 10,380. Market turnover decreased to $65.13 million. 

Amid lackluster transactions of both Southbound and Northbound Trading, HKEX (00388.HK)  -5.900 (-3.393%)    Short selling $550.23M; Ratio 15.707%   tumbled another 3.4% today to $168, the lowest in nearly a month. 

TENCENT (00700.HK)  -1.400 (-1.113%)    Short selling $167.79M; Ratio 6.105%   slid 1.1% further to $124.4. CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK)  -1.800 (-1.882%)    Short selling $231.38M; Ratio 17.163%   also dropped 1.9% in share price. HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK)  -0.150 (-0.194%)    Short selling $45.17M; Ratio 5.545%   edged down 0.2% to $77.05.

CHINA RESOURCES (00291.HK)  -0.520 (-3.182%)    Short selling $24.20M; Ratio 33.645%   hit over 5.5-year low with a downswing of 3.2% today. CHINA RAILWAY (00390.HK)  +0.050 (+1.002%)    Short selling $13.33M; Ratio 8.418%   rebounded 1% after Citigroup said it could benefit from the increase in railway infrastructure investment in Mainland China. 

Coal and resource stocks headed south. CHINA SHENHUA (01088.HK)  -0.400 (-1.937%)    Short selling $78.66M; Ratio 21.289%   shed 1.9% and became the weakest HSCEI constituent. YANZHOU COAL (01171.HK)  -0.100 (-1.550%)    Short selling $32.49M; Ratio 24.479%   , JIANGXI COPPER (00358.HK)  -0.180 (-1.351%)    Short selling $5.30M; Ratio 7.950%   and CNOOC (00883.HK)  -0.100 (-0.880%)    Short selling $71.75M; Ratio 11.761%   faded 0.9% to 1.6%. KUNLUN ENERGY (00135.HK)  -0.250 (-2.867%)    Short selling $20.17M; Ratio 7.157%   slipped another 2.9%, hitting a fresh low in nearly five years. 

HKTV (01137.HK)  -0.320 (-6.926%)   plunged 6.9% after broadcasting started today as investors tried to take profits. TVB (00511.HK)  -0.800 (-1.835%)    Short selling $1.26M; Ratio 4.030%   fell 1.8%. PCCW (00008.HK)  -0.040 (-0.783%)    Short selling $1.31M; Ratio 3.871%   gave up nearly 0.8%.
