TENCENT (00700.HK)  +3.900 (+3.380%)    Short selling $111.04M; Ratio 5.353%   led the gainers by jumping 3.4%, contributing 67 pts to the Hang Seng Index. In contrast, another heavyweight CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK)  -0.200 (-0.219%)    Short selling $277.67M; Ratio 12.180%   edged down 0.2% to $92, after the recent release of results.

On back of robust results of Apple Inc, AAC TECH (02018.HK)  +1.750 (+4.113%)    Short selling $19.84M; Ratio 27.774%   advanced 4.1% and SUNNY OPTICAL (02382.HK)  +0.400 (+3.210%)    Short selling $29.88M; Ratio 25.138%   perked up 3.2%. Meanwhile, software stocks KINGSOFT (03888.HK)  +0.960 (+5.304%)    Short selling $19.71M; Ratio 7.829%   KINGDEE INT'L (00268.HK)  +0.170 (+7.391%)    Short selling $7.86M; Ratio 8.329%   and SINOSOFT TECH (01297.HK)  +0.110 (+4.247%)   soared 5.3%, 7.4% and 4.2%, respectively.

Financials posted gain, as HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK)  +0.650 (+0.836%)    Short selling $79.93M; Ratio 7.521%   and AIA (01299.HK)  +0.850 (+2.066%)    Short selling $49.32M; Ratio 6.616%   rose 0.8% and 2%, respectively.
