According to the sources of Now TV, HKEX (00388.HK)  -0.300 (-0.172%)    Short selling $36.25M; Ratio 6.807%   has started the preparation with Shanghai Stock Exchange relating to the ceremony of the official opening of Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect. It is expected that the officials will decide when to kick off the campaign today, and it would likely be either 27 October or 3 November.
However, HKEX replied that the preparation is not related to the timetable

CLSA lowers Beijing Ent Water (00371) to HK$6   CLSA cut its target price for Beijing Enterprises Water (BEW)(00371) by 8% to HK$6, and reiterated its "buy" rating.   The research house said BEW's share price has dropped 14% in the last two trading days. The loss amounted to $541 million, against the profit of $975 million in the year-ago period. Loss per share equaled $3.25. A second interim dividend of $0.5 was declared.
