HSI Sees Gains Widen to Over 500 pts, Driven by Financials

Driven by banks, Hang Seng Index saw a widened gain to 543 pts or 1.8% after midday to 30,382 but the turnover was only $72.4 billion.

ICBC (01398.HK)  +0.240 (+3.664%)    Short selling $304.80M; Ratio 31.351%   and CCB (00939.HK)  +0.320 (+4.129%)    Short selling $492.75M; Ratio 27.767%   saw gains widen to 3.5%-4% at $6.79 and $8.07 respectively. PING AN (02318.HK)  +2.050 (+2.489%)    Short selling $380.71M; Ratio 23.774%   continued higher 2.2% to $84.15. HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK)  +1.900 (+2.381%)    Short selling $207.35M; Ratio 22.167%   and HKEX (00388.HK)  +5.600 (+2.105%)    Short selling $105.85M; Ratio 14.650%   jumped 2% and 1.5% to $81.4 and $270.

TENCENT (00700.HK)  +10.400 (+2.462%)    Short selling $450.64M; Ratio 12.848%   and SUNNY OPTICAL (02382.HK)  +5.000 (+4.202%)    Short selling $66.97M; Ratio 10.586%   continued higher over 2% and 4% to $431.2 and $124.
