HSI Soars 599 Pts to Recoup 31,000 on CNY Eve, Led by HSBC, Tencent, CN Banks

On Chinese New Year's Eve, Hong Kong stock market was closed at midday. At open, Hang Seng Index jumped 443 pts before mounting up to 630 pts. It eventually closed at 31,115, up 599 pts or 2%. Hang Seng China Enterprises Index finished up 274 pts or 2.2% to 12,535. Market turnover reached $76.909 billion.
