HSI Falls 136 pts; Oil Stocks Fade |
The U.S stocks traded mixed last night (18 January) with Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 22 pts or 0.1% at close. Hang Seng Index slightly opened higher 6 pts and retreated afterwards, with a decline of up to 149 pts to bottom at 22,948. The benchmark index finished the morning trade lower 136 pts or 0.6% to 22,961. Hang Seng China Enterprises Index slid 49 pts or 0.5% to 9,753.

faded 0.4% and 0.3%. HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK) +0.250 (+0.386%)




Hong Kong government, in its Policy Address, said that the first-hand home supply will reach 94,000 in the next three to four years, hitting 12-year high. Hong Kong real estate developers hit the soft spot, with HENDERSON LAND (00012.HK) -0.700 (-1.606%)














National Development and Reform Commission announced the 13th Five-year Plan for oil and natural gas development. The three oil stocks sagged 1% to 1.6%. Gas stock CHINA RES GAS (01193.HK) -0.700 (-2.729%)
