HSI Falls 87 pts; CHINA LIFE Dives 4%
Hang Seng Index opened up 87 pts this morning but it receded when China announced its official manufacturing PMI for January which missed the market expectations. It hit the low by declining 238 pts and last stood at 19,595, down 87 pts or 0.4%. Hang Seng China Enterprises Index lost 96 pts or 1.2% to 8,144. The market turnover amounted to $69.5 billion.
