SHCI Closes Down 1.3% as Britain Leaves EU
The Britain leaves the European Union successfully, sending shock waves to global capital markets. With higher risk aversion sentiment, gold prices recorded the biggest gain since 2008. USD/CNY and USD/CNH saw a plunge. Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses opened down on Friday (24 June) and jittered at the low level. At market close, Shanghai Composite Index and Shenzhen Component Index plunged 1.3%/ 1.05% to 2,854.29/ 10,147.71. CSI 300 Index finished at 3,077.16, down 1.29%. The ChiNext Index faded 0.47% to 2,127.36. Turnover of the two markets totaled RMB646.877 billion.
