HSI Rallies 218 pts; HSBC Holdings, Stanchart Jump

 Asia Pacific bourses broadly advanced amid decreased concerns over the Brexit vote. Hang Seng Index saw a widened gain after opening higher 255 pts this morning and escalated up to 288 pts to peak at 20,458. The benchmark index jumped 218 pts or 1% to 
20,388 at morning's close. Hang Seng China Enterprises Index lifted 88 pts or 1% to 8,574. Half-day market turnover amounted to $29.477 billion.

HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK)  +1.650 (+3.459%)    Short selling $328.00M; Ratio 14.159%   led the gains and rallied 3.1% to $49.2. STANCHART (02888.HK)  +4.550 (+7.975%)    Short selling $69.55M; Ratio 10.357%   shot up 5.5%. CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK)  +0.500 (+0.589%)    Short selling $54.31M; Ratio 5.591%   edged up 0.2% after reporting a rise in 4G net additions to 409 million in May. Shares in TENCENT (00700.HK)  +1.800 (+1.066%)    Short selling $243.70M; Ratio 15.183%   climbed 0.7%. HKEX (00388.HK)  +2.900 (+1.618%)    Short selling $94.57M; Ratio 12.532%   gained 1.1%.

Hong Kong developers recovered. CLSA lowers Beijing Ent Water (00371) to HK$6   CLSA cut its target price for Beijing Enterprises Water (BEW)(00371) by 8% to HK$6, and reiterated its "buy" rating.   The research house said BEW's share price has dropped 14% in the last two trading days.
