The benchmark index eventually closed up 73 pts or 0.4% to 20,868. The volatility between highest and lowest level was 135 pts. Hang Seng China Enterprises Index added 21 pts or 0.3% to 8,785. Market turnover amounted to $54.02 billion at close.
