HSI Adds 73 pts; Stocks with U.K., SZ-HK Stock Connect Concepts Rise

U.K. holds EU referendum today. Hong Kong stocks held steady. Hang Seng Index, after opening up 67 pts, once fell to 20,753 in early session and peaked at 20,889 afterwards. The benchmark index eventually closed up 73 pts or 0.4% to 20,868. The volatility between highest and lowest level was 135 pts. Hang Seng China Enterprises Index added 21 pts or 0.3% to 8,785. Market turnover amounted to $54.02 billion at close. 
Stocks with U.K. concept fared well. PRU (02378.HK)  +4.000 (+2.667%)   soared 2.7%. STANCHART (02888.HK)  +0.800 (+1.270%)    Short selling $50.66M; Ratio 7.222%   lifted 1.2%. HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK)  +0.500 (+0.994%)    Short selling $247.56M; Ratio 11.512%   and CKH HOLDINGS (00001.HK)  +0.900 (+0.992%)    Short selling $161.55M; Ratio 17.580%   rose nearly 1%. AIA (01299.HK)  +0.700 (+1.538%)    Short selling $191.02M; Ratio 21.599%   trended up 1.5%.
Chinese banks traded mixed. ICBC (01398.HK)  +0.070 (+1.598%)    Short selling $549.23M; Ratio 23.522%   added 1.6%. CCB (00939.HK)  +0.010 (+0.201%)    Short selling $196.36M; Ratio 12.530%   and BANKCOMM (03328.HK)  +0.020 (+0.393%)    Short selling $27.64M; Ratio 14.428%  grew 0.2% and 0.4%. ZHEJIANG SHIBAO (01057.HK)  +0.190 (+2.174%)   , NE ELECTRIC (00042.HK)  +0.070 (+2.602%)   and SHANDONG XINHUA (00719.HK)  +0.160 (+3.376%)   surged 2.1%-3.4%. SHANDONG MOLONG (00568.HK)  +0.040 (+1.329%)   elevated 1.3%. But HKEX (00388.HK)  -0.300 (-0.161%)    Short selling $57.74M; Ratio 8.435%   edged down 0.2%.
