HSI Jumps 263 pts, Led by Developers
Markets gradually factored in the impact of Brexit. European and U.S. markets rebounded. Hong Kong stocks followed to advance. Hang Seng Index, after opening up 44 pts, once peaked at 20,456, up 284 pts toward market end. It eventually closed at 20,436, up 263 pts or 1.3%. Hang Seng China Enterprises Index added 35 pts or 0.4% at 8,571. Market turnover amounted to $63.578 billion at close. 

Government announced Land Sale Programme for July-September in the afternoon. Hang Seng PROP index surged 2.4%, outperforming market. CK PROPERTY (01113.HK)  +1.600 (+3.474%)    Short selling $22.69M; Ratio 9.209%   surged 3.5%. HENDERSON LAND (00012.HK)  +1.350 (+3.281%)    Short selling $25.32M; Ratio 13.606%   leaped 3.3%. SHK PPT (00016.HK)  +2.650 (+3.010%)    Short selling $92.93M; Ratio 21.186%   and SINO LAND (00083.HK)  +0.360 (+2.956%)    Short selling $2.65M; Ratio 3.364%   jumped nearly 3%. LINK REIT (00823.HK)  +1.550 (+2.958%)    Short selling $132.61M; Ratio 17.190%   soared 3% to $53.95. It once hit the record-high of $54.2. 

TINGYI (00322.HK)  +0.300 (+4.310%)    Short selling $30.18M; Ratio 46.759%   rallied 4.3%, representing the best performer of blue chips. Cement stocks outperformed the market. ANHUI CONCH (00914.HK)  +0.760 (+4.373%)    Short selling $75.08M; Ratio 35.847%   rocketed 4.4%, representing the best HSCEI constituent. CHINARES CEMENT (01313.HK)  +0.070 (+3.017%)    Short selling $1.31M; Ratio 10.690%   ballooned 3%. Oil prices rebounded. PETROCHINA (00857.HK)  +0.120 (+2.372%)    Short selling $36.28M; Ratio 14.816%   and SINOPEC CORP (00386.HK)  +0.120 (+2.247%)    Short selling $129.27M; Ratio 28.072%   rose sharply by over 2%. CNOOC (00883.HK)  +0.180 (+1.963%)    Short selling $96.41M; Ratio 32.944%   leaped nearly 2%. 

CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK)  +2.200 (+2.573%)    Short selling $98.35M; Ratio 7.489%   surged 2.6% to $87.7. TENCENT (00700.HK)  +1.900 (+1.114%)    Short selling $304.36M; Ratio 13.089%   gained 1.1%. CKH's series of companies bounced back. CKH HOLDINGS (00001.HK)  +0.850 (+1.037%)    Short selling $122.36M; Ratio 6.416%   and POWER ASSETS (00006.HK)  +0.950 (+1.404%)    Short selling $13.21M; Ratio 2.182%   ticked up 1% and 1.4%. CKI HOLDINGS (01038.HK)  +0.950 (+1.467%)    Short selling $78.44M; Ratio 8.254%   grew 1.5%. In addition, HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK)  +0.600 (+1.294%)    Short selling $624.94M; Ratio 24.245%   and STANCHART (02888.HK)  +1.050 (+1.877%)    Short selling $29.24M; Ratio 9.277%  trended up 1.3% and 1.9%.

CLSA lowers Beijing Ent Water (00371) to HK$6   CLSA cut its target price for Beijing Enterprises Water (BEW)(00371) by 8% to HK$6, and reiterated its "buy" rating.   The research house said BEW's share price has dropped 14% in the last two trading days. First, the 2017 earnings results are below expectations. Second, management is guiding for 20-25% net profit growth for 2018, versus 30% in the past few years. Management now has a cautious approach to water PPP (public-private partnership) projects, which is not  necessarily bad.   CLSA cut its 2018-19 earnings forecasts by 19%. At the current level, it believes many  of the negatives are already priced-in.

WKK INTL (HOLD) (00532.HK)    +0.100 (+15.152%)      announced the results for its subsidiary, Taiwan Kong King, for the nine months ended September 2014. The unaudited combined after-tax net profit decreased 30.26% to $12.239 million, compared with the same period last year. Revenue amounted to $177 million.
