HSI Dives 337 pts; Blue Chips Broadly Head South
Hang Seng Index followed the external market to open lower 256 pts, breaching below 10-day MA (20,043) and 20,000 pts. The benchmark index tumbled 337 pts or 1.7% to end the morning session at 19,781. Hang Seng China Enterprises Index lost 151 pts or 1.8% to 
8,274. Half-day turnover amounted to $33.31 billion.

Blue chip stocks broadly headed south this morning. HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK)  -0.700 (-1.423%)    Short selling $186.69M; Ratio 31.668%   slid 1.2% to $48.6. AIA (01299.HK)  -0.800 (-1.824%)    Short selling $79.90M; Ratio 26.522%   and CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK)  -1.700 (-1.984%)    Short selling $55.88M; Ratio 11.206%   sagged 1.7% and 2.3%. TENCENT (00700.HK)  -1.800 (-1.105%)    Short selling $150.32M; Ratio 9.471%   , which is scheduled to unveil its quarterly results today, retreated 1.6% to $160.3. LENOVO GROUP (00992.HK)  -0.150 (-2.907%)    Short selling $32.27M; Ratio 41.850%   dived 3.1%. 

CKH HOLDINGS (00001.HK)  -1.000 (-1.110%)    Short selling $64.60M; Ratio 25.666%   and CK PROPERTY (01113.HK)  -0.600 (-1.325%)    Short selling $22.41M; Ratio 17.533%   dipped nearly 0.7% on ex-dividend date. Local real estate stocks largely saw a decline. HANG LUNG PPT (00101.HK)  -0.320 (-2.282%)    Short selling $3.91M; Ratio 17.828%   and SINO LAND (00083.HK)  -0.100 (-0.879%)    Short selling $5.72M; Ratio 38.144%   
fell sharply by 2.6% and 2.1%. MTR CORPORATION (00066) will convene shareholders' meeting today. The stock inched down 1%. CATHAY PAC AIR (00293.HK)  -0.220 (-1.800%)    Short selling $2.30M; Ratio 22.668%   
sank 1.6%. 

Chinese financials receded. CCB (00939.HK)  -0.080 (-1.728%)    Short selling $140.38M; Ratio 24.411%   and ICBC (01398.HK)  -0.050 (-1.282%)    Short selling $73.31M; Ratio 19.063%   wilt 1.7% and 1.8%. Chinese insurers CHINA LIFE (02628.HK)  -0.160 (-0.952%)    Short selling $31.24M; Ratio 16.147%   and PING AN (02318.HK)  -0.450 (-1.324%)    Short selling $60.09M; Ratio 19.906%   gave up 1.4% and 1.8%. New York oil futures drifted higher 1.2% to hit seven-month high.
