SHCI Closes Down 0.05%, Sinking below Level of 3,000
Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets were volatile after opening lower. Shanghai Composite Index and Shenzhen Component Index slid 0.05%/ 0.18% to 2,991.27 pts/ 10,422.8 pts at close. CSI 300 Index closed at 3,209.46, down 0.13%. The ChiNext Index sank 0.28% to 2,211.02. Turnover of Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses slightly amounted to RMB535.4 billion.
