HSI Closes Down 155 pts
Hong Kong stocks headed south today (22 April). European Central Bank (ECB)'s president Mario Draghi said current policies take time to show effects. Market was concerned that the central bank may not have new measures in near term. Hang Seng Index followed external markets to open down 174 pts this morning and once dived 263 pts to hit the trough of 21,358. The benchmark index saw a narrowed decline after morning's close, sinking 155 pts or 0.7% to end at 21,467. Hang Seng China Enterprises Index closed down 127 pts or 1.4% to 9,120. Market turnover amounted to $64.492 billion.
