Following the downtrend of U.S bourses, Hang Seng Index opened down 172 pts or 0.8% to 21,215 and Hang Seng China Enterprises Index opened lower 78 pts or 0.9% to 8,982. After market open, Hang Seng Index saw a widened decrease with a loss of up to 364 pts to the trough of 21,023 at nearly 20-day MA (20,986 pts). The benchmark index finished the day trading down by 320 pts or 1.5% to 21,067. Hang Seng China Enterprises Index gave up 121 pts or 1.3% to 8,939. Market turnover totaled $60.656 billion.

TENCENT (00700.HK)  -2.100 (-1.304%)    Short selling $253.15M; Ratio 14.571%   fell 1.3%. 
LI & FUNG (00494.HK)  -0.180 (-3.607%)    Short selling $36.23M; Ratio 50.602%   and LENOVO GROUP (00992.HK)  -0.230 (-3.594%)    Short selling $74.68M; Ratio 23.129%   fell sharply by 3.6%, both of which became the worst performer of blue chips.

Local developers trended down, with WHARF HOLDINGS (00004.HK)  -1.150 (-2.659%)    Short selling $20.97M; Ratio 13.946%   , HENDERSON LAND (00012.HK)  -1.500 (-3.000%)    Short selling $34.66M; Ratio 15.984%   and SINO LAND (00083.HK)  -0.260 (-2.083%)    Short selling $6.36M; Ratio 8.994%   tumbled 2.7%, 3% and 2%. Macau gaming stocks were under pressure. SANDS CHINA LTD (01928.HK)  -0.400 (-1.418%)    Short selling $96.89M; Ratio 35.572%   reported a 9.3% decline in first quarter net profit to US$310 million, sending its shares down by 1.4%. Morgan Stanley trimmed GALAXY ENT (00027.HK)  -0.700 (-2.602%)    Short selling $223.25M; Ratio 42.492%   's target price to $29 and the stock plummeted 2.6% today. WYNN MACAU (01128.HK)  -0.240 (-2.116%)    Short selling $46.06M; Ratio 36.670%   also dived 2.1%. 

Oil stocks were under pressure following results announcement. CNOOC (00883.HK)  -0.230 (-2.326%)    Short selling $174.31M; Ratio 22.684%   sank 2.3%. SINOPEC CORP (00386.HK)  -0.070 (-1.250%)    Short selling $230.72M; Ratio 28.767%   sagged 1.3%. PETROCHINA (00857.HK)  -0.210 (-3.547%)    Short selling $214.68M; Ratio 22.595%   slumped 3.5% with RMB13.79 billion loss in the first quarter. CHINA OILFIELD (02883.HK)  -0.280 (-3.983%)    Short selling $57.11M; Ratio 26.409%   plummeted 4% since the company swung into RMB930 million loss in the first quarter.
