HSI Opens Up 32 pts; China Mobile, HSBC Holdings Soften
The three major U.S indexes traded mixed last night (2 February), with Dow Jones Industrial Average inching down 6 pts to end at 19,884. Trading in the Mainland bourses resumed today after the long Lunar New Year holiday. Hang Seng Index opened higher 32 pts or 0.1% to 23,216. Hang Seng China Enterprises Index opened up 22 pts or 0.2% to 9,718.

CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK)  +0.100 (+0.114%)    Short selling $35.64M; Ratio 3.948%   sagged 0.5%. TENCENT (00700.HK)  +1.000 (+0.487%)    Short selling $359.02M; Ratio 12.244%   inched up 0.1% at open.

Macau January gaming revenue missed estimates. SANDS CHINA LTD (01928.HK)  -0.150 (-0.447%)    Short selling $64.74M; Ratio 14.764%   dipped 0.1%. Shares in BELLE INT'L (01880.HK)  +0.020 (+0.417%)    Short selling $5.44M; Ratio 14.361%   escalated 2%, being the best performing blue chip so far.

Chinese financials held steady, with BANK OF CHINA (03988.HK)  +0.020 (+0.570%)    Short selling $71.02M; Ratio 18.782%   and CCB (00939.HK)  +0.010 (+0.173%)    Short selling $210.59M; Ratio 23.308%   opening higher 0.6% and 0.2%.
