Chinese, Mexican Car Companies Invest Over US$200M in Mexican Car Plant
Reuters reported that Chinese and Mexican car companies will jointly invest about US$212 million in a car plant in Mexico so as to alleviate the uncertainties of the car-making industry in Mexico brought by US president Donald Trump's policies.
Omar Fayad, Governor of Hidalgo in Mexico, said Mexico's Giant, China's JAC Motors and distributor Chori Co Ltd will jointly invest MXN4.4 billion (about US$212 million) in a car plant manufacturing SUVs in Hidalgo.
