HSI Surges 872 pts; HSCEI Leaps 5%Hong Kong stocks followed the external markets' uptrend and Hang Seng Index (HSI) 
gains widen further in the afternoon session. It once soared 969 pts to the day-high of 22,228, and stood at 22,131 at close, up 872 pts or 4.1%. Hang Seng China Enterprises Index ended at 9,975, up 496 pts or 5.2%. Market turnover reached as high as $115.43 billion. 

The heavyweight HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK)  +2.100 (+3.494%)    Short selling $330.66M; Ratio 18.983%   rallies 3.5% and closed at $62.2, contributing gains of 86 pts to the HSI. TENCENT (00700.HK)  +4.200 (+3.246%)    Short selling $309.42M; Ratio 8.484%   and AIA (01299.HK)  +2.100 (+5.006%)    Short selling $328.97M; Ratio 12.608%   elevated 3.2% and 5%, lifting the HSI by 145 pts. CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK)  +2.250 (+2.454%)    Short selling $275.70M; Ratio 13.474%   escalated 2.5%. HKEX (00388.HK)  +6.700 (+3.657%)    Short selling $230.02M; Ratio 9.236%   mounted around 3.7%. 

CKI HOLDINGS (01038.HK)  +2.750 (+4.157%)    Short selling $308.03M; Ratio 39.657%   proposed the merger with POWER ASSETS (00006.HK)  +3.950 (+5.843%)    Short selling $83.79M; Ratio 10.291%   . As JP Morgan said the merger will create a win-win situation, CKI HOLDINGS rocketed 10.9% at most and ended 4.2% higher. POWER ASSETS reached a new high with a bounce of 5.8%. CKH HOLDINGS (00001.HK)  +6.300 (+6.081%)    Short selling $260.10M; Ratio 13.208%   and CK PROPERTY (01113.HK)  +1.500 (+2.727%)    Short selling $73.70M; Ratio 11.153%   perked up 6.1% and 2.7% respectively. HENDERSON LAND (00012.HK)  +3.400 (+7.098%)    Short selling $128.55M; Ratio 28.563%   's share price also jumped 7.1%. 

Hang Seng Index-Finance rose 4.6%, and financials stocks remained strong. BANK OF CHINA (03988.HK)  +0.250 (+7.396%)    Short selling $93.57M; Ratio 4.061%   shot up 7.4%, outperforming its peers. CCB (00939.HK)  +0.290 (+5.566%)    Short selling $264.21M; Ratio 10.336%   and ICBC (01398.HK)  +0.240 (+5.357%)    Short selling $101.49M; Ratio 4.064%   also rallied 5.6% and 5.4%. Insurance shares fared well. CHINA LIFE (02628.HK)  +1.350 (+5.163%)    Short selling $429.02M; Ratio 27.392%   and PING AN (02318.HK)  +1.350 (+3.600%)    Short selling $875.69M; Ratio 26.264%  gained 5.2% and 3.6% respectively
