The European and U.S. bourses decreased significantly last Friday. Loss of Hang Seng Index widened after opening down 803 pts this morning. Shanghai Composite Index dived 8.5%, marking the largest drop in more than 8 years. Hang Seng Index once hit the intra-day low at 21,136, down 1,273 pts, being the lowest level since July 2013. The index closed at 21,251, down 1,158 pts or 5.2%. Hang Seng China Enterprises Index last printed at 9,602, down 592 pts or 5.8%, hitting the over 1-year low. The market turnover surged to $138.971 billion.

Most of the blue chips and red chips headed south today and only CITIC (00267.HK)  +0.040 (+0.287%)    Short selling $246.24M; Ratio 19.280%   edged up 0.3% as the company released the interim results at midday, reporting that its net profit increased 45.5% yearly. Three telecommunications operators announced a change in their management. The Organization Department confirmed that Shang Bing, the Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology, will serve as chairman in China Mobile Group. Meanwhile, the chairmen in China telecom and China Unicom will swap their positions. CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK)  -7.950 (-7.926%)    Short selling $441.95M; Ratio 14.141%   tumbled 7.9%. CHINA TELECOM (00728.HK)  -0.300 (-6.452%)    Short selling $100.93M; Ratio 10.763%   and CHINA UNICOME (00762.HK)  -0.220 (-2.033%)    Short selling $329.69M; Ratio 17.073%   slid 6.5% and 2%.

As A shares collapsed, X ISHARES A50 (02823.HK)  -1.280 (-11.918%)    Short selling $1.34B; Ratio 25.128%   , CSOP A50 ETF (02822.HK)  -1.540 (-12.460%)    Short selling $808.16M; Ratio 20.693%   and HS H-SHARE ETF (02828.HK)  -6.050 (-5.806%)    Short selling $519.81M; Ratio 17.296%   dived 11.9%, 12.5% and 5.8% respectively.

TINGYI (00322.HK)  -1.540 (-10.860%)    Short selling $80.66M; Ratio 29.721%   earned 15% less to US$200 million in its interim results, leading to a 10.9% decline in its share price. CHINA RES LAND (01109.HK)  -0.940 (-5.081%)    Short selling $58.87M; Ratio 11.484%   gave up 5.1% after reporting a 26.6% increase in its interim net profit. HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK)  -2.800 (-4.314%)    Short selling $351.45M; Ratio 14.840%   slumped 4.3%. AIA (01299.HK)  -2.750 (-6.315%)    Short selling $304.49M; Ratio 11.578%   plunged 6.3%. CK Hutchison Holdings is going to announce its interim results tomorrow. CKH HOLDINGS (00001.HK)  -4.150 (-4.041%)    Short selling $132.61M; Ratio 7.982%   and CK PROPERTY (01113.HK)  -3.700 (-6.783%)    Short selling $19.84M; Ratio 2.606%   descended 4% and 6.8%.
